Capital From an Operator’s Perspective

CSL Capital Investments

Focused Investments Backed by Expertise and Integrity

Based in Salt Lake City, Utah, CSL Capital provides flexible debt solutions to established businesses with complex, time-sensitive, or nontraditional financing needs. Our perspective is shaped by experience as both investors and operators... giving us a practical understanding of capital, cash flow, acquisitions, and accountability. That experience informs how we underwrite, communicate, and structure each opportunity.

Built Through Experience

CSL Capital is led by Chase Leavitt, an entrepreneur, operator, and investor who began his career in business information systems and revenue strategy.

Chase eventually left that career to pursue entrepreneurship, founding Upstreet Brands and growing the company into a top 1% third-party seller on Amazon. The Utah Governor’s Office later profiled Chase and Upstreet,
highlighting the company’s rapid growth, distinctive position in the pickleball industry, and support of youth pickleball programs in Utah public schools.

Chase’s next chapter centered on acquiring and integrating businesses. Over the course of his entrepreneurial career, he has acquired ten businesses and completed three company sales.  Chase has negotiated directly with sellers and suppliers, managed inventory and operating expenses, integrated acquired companies, allocated capital under uncertainty, and experienced the consequences of each decision.  That is the foundation of CSL Capital’s operator-oriented approach.

CSL Beyond the Office

Chase grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah and attended Southern Utah University, where he played collegiate rugby. Athletics have remained an important part of his life over the years, including competing in boxing, flag football, and golf. Along the way, he earned a middleweight gold medal at the Utah Summer Games, was part of three Utah Flag Football championship teams, and qualified for the Utah State Amateur golf tournament.

More importantly, Chase is a husband and father. Outside of his professional work, he is also a published author and youth sports coach. He remains closely connected to the Utah business community and to the sports and entrepreneurial communities that have played an important role throughout his life.

A Note From Chase

Before CSL Capital, I spent years making the kinds of decisions the business owners we meet are making today – where to invest, when to move, how much risk a company could responsibly carry, and whether an opportunity justified committing additional capital.

I have also experienced the uncertainty that accompanies those decisions. Building and acquiring businesses taught me that the best capital partners are not simply the ones that move quickly. They listen, ask the right questions, and understand the business behind the request.

Partnerships are not just about sharing risks and rewards; they are about creating opportunities together.
